INCITING INCIDENT:The Pedestrian

The inciting incident in The Pedestrian to me was when the police stopped the Leonard Mead and he was surprised that there was only one police car left in the lonely place in 2052. The most odd thing was that the police car didn't actually have a person driving or talking to him it was a self driving car that someone was speaking through a radio and took him away.

Respect My Authority

A figure authority helps me be my best self because they tell me what is the right things to do and say and they also tell me stuff that I'm not supposed to do and what the consequences of the actions could lead me to. They also tell me how to behave in public because that is how they can tell the person I am by my actions. The always tell me to be who I am and to never be ashamed of myself. The person who I am is a wonderful person and if people dont like me that is their problem not mine. Another things is that I shouldn't hide my beauty over a mask because the true beauty is inside.

Literature Analysis Book

The theme of my literature analysis book is about a boy becoming an adult and having to kill his dog at the end because he got rabies from a wolf. The tone is sad, happy, mad and frustrating becuase the character doesn't know what to do and doesn't want to make the wrong choice.

First Impression on The Pedestrian

My first impression on The Pedestrian is that the author describes the story with many details and describes the character actions with many details about was he is doing. I also noticed that the author also describes the setting with many details.

My Aeries

The grade I got on my essay was an A. My reaction was surprised because I didn't expect to get the grade I got on my essay because English is not may favorite subject. I think that I received this grade because I new what I was talking about and I new what to write about. I think that I agree with it because I knew what to write and my work was good. Other works that I have done so far in this course is complete almost all of my journal entries and have almost all my post on my blog. I think that the grade I earned for the first grading period is either an A or B becuase I have all my work and I understand what I am working on and I understand the stuff I learn about.

Literature Analysis Questions #1

  1. A group of British school boys plane crashes on a island. Two of the boys find a conch shell and their names are Ralph and Piggy. They use the shell to call the other boys on the island. Once they were all together they choose a leader and they picked Ralph and then he picked Jack to be the leader of the hunter who were going to gather food. After Ralph, Jack and another boy name Simon went out to explore the island and when they come back Ralph tells the others that they should make a signal fire so passing ships can see them. So then they went to collect wood and the used the focus on Piggy's glasses to make the fire. The boys wanted to have more fun and play around then keeping an eye on the fire because of this the wood burns out of control and the forest is on fire and one boy disappears during the fire probably burned to death. The boys loved their life without any grownups around and all they did was play around. Ralph was mad because they should be building a shelter and keeping the fire on instead of goofing around. Also the hunter didn't catch the wild pig and Jack started caring more about hunting then building a shelter and getting rescued.
  2. The theme of Lord of the Flies is the conflict between civilization and savagery. This conflict is shown through Ralph and Jack in which Ralph represents civilization and Jack represents savagery. Ralph wants to set rules and protect the group and enforce their English society behaviors. On the other hand Jack wants to have power over the boys so he becomes the leader of his own group and makes them worship and serve him. As you can see civilization and savagery are two very different things.
  3. Based on the author's tone I imagine the author's morning routine that the author sleeps late. Drinks coffee with no caffeine. The author does no type of meditation and wishes he wasn't so hungover. At breakfast he eats cold food with no flavor that doesn't taste very good. The author lives in his house that is dark with no sunlight shining through the window. He lives by himself with no one else only him. The author writes about death and evilness. Examples in the story are: Piggy's death and Simon's death, Ralph and Jack's conflict and the evil that controls some of the boys.
