  • coherent- of an argument, theory or policy logical and consistent
  • belabor- argue or elaborate a subject in excessive 
  • eschew- avoid or reject
  • acquisitive- excessively interested in acquiring money or material things
  • emulate- match or surpass a person or achievements typically by imitation  
  • banal- lacking in originality as to be obvious and boring 
  • excoriation- the state of being excoriated
  • congeal- solidify or coagulate especially by cooling 
  • carping- difficult to please 
  • substantiate- provide evidence to support or prove the truth
  • temporize- avoid making decision or commuting oneself in order to gain
  • largesse- generously
  • tenable- able to maintained or defend against attack or objection
  • insatiable-of an appetite or desire impossible to satisfy
  • reconnaissance- military observation of a region to locate an enemy or uncertain strategic features 
  • germane- relevant to a subject under consideration 
  • ramify- from branches or offshoots; spread or branch out
  • intransigent- unwilling or refusing to chance one's views or to agree about something
  • taciturn- of a person reserved or uncommunicative in speech; saying little
