Vocabulary list #2


  • Faith- trust or confidence in someone or something 
  •  Threshold- a strip of wood, metal, or stone forming the bottom doorway 
  • Tarry- to remain or stay in a place
  •  Resolve- find a solution to a problem
  •  Discern- perceive or recognize something 
  • Martyr- a person who is killed because of their religious beliefs
  •  Mirth- amusement especially as expressed in laughter
  •  Catechism- summary of principles of religion in form of Q&A 
  • Pious- devoutly religious
  •  Frenzy- a state or period of uncontrolled excitement or wild behavior
